My name is Darrell Davis. I'm an AI governance consultant and strategist based in Columbia, SC, and I've spent the last six years working on the front lines of enterprise technology at the University of South Carolina, supporting 400+ classrooms and large-scale hybrid learning infrastructure.

That experience gave me something most consultants don't have. I've watched firsthand how technology actually lands in organizations, the gaps nobody planned for, the workarounds people quietly build, and the places where governance is just completely absent.

That's what drives this work.

I'm currently completing a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence Strategy and Innovation at Wake Forest University with a 4.0 GPA, contributing to USC's cross-department AI enablement program, and building governance frameworks that have already made it to the desk of university CIOs. In March 2026 I served as a judge for USC AI Day, evaluating cross-disciplinary AI research from faculty and graduate students on governance readiness, workflow fit, and risk oversight.
